Presidents REPORT

Saddle Club  MARCH Monthly  Report AND APRIL AGENDA

The Saddle Club is  very sad to report that one of our dedicated members, Doug Kalka has  recently passed away from a stroke.  Our condolences to his wife and family during this very difficult time.  To express our grief and gratitude for all his efforts, our club will be sending flowers as a remembrance of his friendship and kindness to his memorial service which will be held this Saturday, 14 at 11:00 am at the Catholic Church, located at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 537 E Street.
I will be attending and I encourage our members to attend it possible.

MARCH BUSINESS MEETING REPORT

March meeting was very productive as we continue our monthly trail ride which due to bad weather was cancelled.  Nevertheless, the rain was definitely appreciated, and we are on for the third Sunday in  April.

The Saddle club has endorsed two candidates for the BOA Directors  election and encourages you to vote.  Bothe Cyndi Opalek and  Rex  Gammon attended our meetings pledging strong support for the horse community and efforts to continue to maintain  and pursue improvements to both centers.

There has been many capital improvements recently at both facilities.  The  saddle club urges you to vote to continue a strong presence for the horse community  on the BOA.  Voters can cast 5 votes for any candidates.

The club caps are in and if you would like to purchase one, please come to our meeting.  We have a limited supply and can take orders, $15.00 each.

The Club will be holding a POKER RIDE FUND RAISER on Sunday, the first week in November and I along with Jeffie Wood will be Co chairing.  We will be providing more information as we go.  The goal is to raise at $500.00 to offset the cost of yearly insurance and maintain a prudent reserve.

A bunch of club members took a clinic to a herding cattle ranch Sunday, well three steers to be specific and did we have a  blast.  We will be sharing about events like these so please attend April’s meeting
